The copper nib was born from a desire for a durable and practical dip pen nib. Enjoy a variety of line widths from fine to broad by tilting the nib at different angles. Fits most nib holders as well as those from our range.

Designed by Yamazaki Hayato, a designer at Kuramae-based ALLOY, this pen tip features an unprecedented design that was arrived at after repeated trial and error. The rounded tip and meticulous polishing have resulted in a writing experience so smooth it's hard to believe it's made of metal.

Depending on the angle, you can paint with a wide area or draw thin lines, making this a great dip pen for artists.

About the properties of the material

Copper is prone to aging when exposed to air. When you receive your pen, it may have a slight reddish tinge or spots, but it will still be usable for writing. As a soft metal, the nib will gradually become rounder, the lines will become thicker, and the writing experience will become smoother. Enjoy watching the changes in your pen as it grows.
